I'm Anna

Paige and Travis’s wedding day was one for the books. Taking place at the iconic Lambertville Station, they somehow managed to have one of the most mild and gorgeous December days I’ve ever experienced. Lambertville is a town bursting with art and character as one of the most quintessential New Jersey towns along the Delaware River (and of course, across from the equally quaint New Hope, Pennsylvania).

Paige and Travis live in Washington D.C. now, but their first date was in New Hope (somewhat by accident) when plans with their mutual coworkers fell through and they were the only two who could still make it. After several years together and planning their wedding from D.C., they returned to the place where it all began to celebrate their marriage.

Lambertville Station’s bridal suite is bursting with light through large windows that wrap around the entire suite – and on this particular December day, with the sun setting so early, all of our light in the beginning of the day was simply incredible. Paige got ready with the help of her mother and mother-in-law, and both Paige and Travis elected not to have a formal wedding party. While I love a wedding party, I also love when couples know exactly what will bring them the most peace throughout their celebration – and sometimes, that’s keeping it simple and not choosing between friends.

With the sun setting so early in December, it’s sometimes hard to anticipate exactly what the light will give us leading up to a ceremony. Fortunately, this mild December day gave us beautiful golden light with the sun so low all afternoon.

Paige & Travis’s first look was beautiful and private, just outside with the sun setting over the Delaware River behind them. After, we walked out to the bridge to chase the light across the river – and we were not disappointed!

Travis and his family are Jewish, and they incorporated aspects of Jewish tradition throughout their wedding day – including breaking a glass at the end of their ceremony, a blessing said over challah bread prior to dinner being served, as well as the joyful hora dance to open the reception.

Afterward, the party really started. A beautiful cocktail hour of passed hors’deurves preceded an incredible celebration that went long into the night, featuring a dress change, a (beautifully) failed cake cutting, and an overflowing amount of joy.

Congratulations, Paige & Travis, on such a joyous day! Thank you so immensely for all your trust through your entire process and for letting me be a part of your celebration. ❤️
